European Flail

A picture of Magni's Forge Hammer, at different angles.

Essentially a mace, but with a chain in between the handle and metal head. The European flail is generally depicted as a short wooden handle connected to one or many metal balls (typically spiked). There is considerable debate as to whether or not flails really existed during the Middles Ages. Flail are rarely depicted in art, and are often seen in non-realistic contexts.

This model took me about 4 hours to create, and the texturing around an hour or so. Polycount is 1,564. Most of the polygons are in the chains. Uses a normal map to help smooth out of the low poly areas (such as the metal ball, not the including the spikes.).
