Why do I use 4096 * 4096 Resolutions?
I use 4096 resolutions for my texture and normal/bump map files because I can then downscale them to whatever resolution I like afterwards or should a need arise. I would use 8192 texture file sizes, but I only have so much HDD space and 4096 seems more than adequate for texture and normal/bump map files.
