Pillbox

My own variant (colour wise) of a mushroom pillbox. Pillboxes are concrete dug-in guard posts, normally equipped with loopholes through which to fire weapons. The name "Pillbox" came from the resemblance to cyllindrical and hexagonal boxes in which medical pills were once sold. They are in effect a trench firing step hardened to rpotect again small-arms fire and grenades and raised to improve the field of fire. There are many variants of Pillboxes, cyllindrical, hexagonal and mushroom are the few to be named. However, there are many more variants designed for difference situations and locations.
The inspiration to make a pillbox, came whilst I was playing Battlefield 4, specially a Final Stand map. On one of the maps, there is a large structure dug into the ground which houses futurist technology. Although not really resembling a pillbox, it did resemble a bunker and that led onto the idea of making a pillbox. However, most pillboxes are not camo'd and are really just stone structures designed to give a tactical advantage rather than concealment. For my Pillbox, I wanted it to have a camo'd top, with the sides and center pillar also camo'd so as to blend in more. The setting I'd imagine this pillbox to be used in would either be a forest, or a brush of some sort.
Really pleased with how the mesh came out. The Pillbox is only 500 polygons, uses 4096 * 4096 textures (I can downscale later if need be) and a normal/bump map as well. I was especially pleased with how the camoflauge on the roof came out, I then added extra camoflauge to the top parts of the wall and center pillar. However, I did not put on them on too harshly, as I wanted a slightly worn out look to the camoflauge.
