Roman Gladius used by the Roman army. Usually the hilt is a a smooth brown wood finish, and the blade is shining steel. However, for my gladius I wanted to make it look warn and used, with an ivy touch to it, hence the overall green hints. Blade is slightly tainted with green, as if it has been used in a forest and become slightly stained.

 

The Roman Gladius was used as the standard weapon of the Roman Army, mostly used as a thrusting weapon from behind a raised shield. It was sort of a mid-way point between longswords and daggers, as although it could be used as a slashing weapon, it was majorly used as a stabbing weapon; hence the pointed tip and straight blade.
